Goodwin Family Management (GFM), LLC is a management company for the assets of Eric Goodwin.

GFM was started in January of 2021 as part of an internal reorganization to accommodate, and better serve, our growing companies. Before the creation of GFM, our accounting, human resource and administration teammates were spread throughout our companies. Now under one roof, our accounting, human resource, marketing, and administration teams seek to professionally, efficiently and proactively provide support services to the companies we manage. GFM also actively seeks expansion opportunities through acquisitions, real estate investments and angel investments.

We have a passionate and dedicated team of professionals headquartered in Exeter, New Hampshire, in addition to the hundreds of others we employee through our growing brands. Primarily, we provide support services to Goodwin Recruiting and The Friendly Toast.

Goodwin Recruiting

Goodwin Recruiting was founded by Eric Goodwin in 1999. Eric is a seasoned restaurateur who had such a knack for hiring the best people that other hospitality entrepreneurs began asking him for recruiting help. He quickly realized there was a need to help hotel and restaurant companies find great people, and Goodwin Hospitality was born.

Since that time, the company has grown and expanded beyond the hospitality business and has become Goodwin Recruiting, a full-service recruiting agency for executive, finance, accounting, medical, healthcare, engineering and of course, hospitality.

It is Goodwin Recruiting’s commitment to making the right connections that has facilitated our consistent growth. We have never lost sight of Eric’s founding principles and his original commitment to finding the best connection for every client and candidate. We don’t just find people jobs—we help them grow their careers. We don’t just send clients applicants; we connect them with candidates that fit their business.

The Friendly Toast

With several locations spread across New England, The Friendly Toast is a regional restaurant group that will be rapidly expanded in the coming years. The Friendly Toast serves up creative meals in a truly unique atmosphere and offers a fun and exciting dining experience morning, noon and night. We use the freshest ingredients (locally sourced whenever possible) and we’re environmentally friendly.

Eric Goodwin purchased The Friendly Toast in Portsmouth, NH and Cambridge, MA with his business partner, Scott Pulver, in 2013. They’ve since opened three more locations with aggressive growth plans in the months to come.

Over the years, The Friendly Toast has been featured in Good Morning America, Boston Magazine, Trip Advisor, and Dig Magazine for ‘Best Breakfast’.

NOBL Beverages

Eric Goodwin purchased an equity stake in NOBL Beverages in 2015. Eric was approached by a budding young entrepreneur, Connor Roelke, to invest in his nitro coffee brewing company. NOBL achieved significant year over year growth in both the NOBL canning and kegerator spaces. With their account list growing, they have twice needed a larger facility to accommodate their expansion. Ever the nimble entrepreneur, Connor and NOBL added a completely new vertical during COVID by co-packing other brands’ beverages. Co-packing has become a major source of business as NOBL continues to produce their own beverages and distribute them to accounts across New England.

360 Relay

360 Relay is a customer feedback and analytics company that was created by Eric Goodwin, Tyler Goodwin and Kurt Eddins in January of 2018. 360 Relay was formally a part of Goodwin Hospitality before that company was split into 360 Relay and Goodwin Recruiting. 360 Relay collects customer feedback for a variety of business-to-customer industries across the nation. In February of 2021, the Goodwin’s sold 360 Relay to the company’s President Kurt Eddins.

Eric Goodwin

President A serial entrepreneur, Eric Goodwin is always looking for the next mountain to climb. It started with the creation of what has become Goodwin Recruiting back in 1999. At that point, Eric had two young kids but was working long hours as a restaurant operator. He saw an opportunity to try his hand at ... A serial entrepreneur, Eric Goodwin is always looking for the next mountain to climb. It started with the creation of what has become Goodwin Recruiting back in 1999. At that point, Eric had two young kids but was working long hours as a restaurant operator. He saw an opportunity to try his hand at recruiting and took the risk to start his own business. Years of hard work, careful planning and continued risk taking have led to multiple successful business with nationwide reach. Eric remains very active in all of his businesses and investments, including Goodwin Recruiting, The Friendly Toast and GFM.

Eric and the Goodwin family are also involved in numerous charitable endeavors, most notably their Goodwin Family Scholarship which is a need-based scholarship program for undergraduate UNH students majoring in Hospitality Management. Eric was recognized as the 2015 New Hampshire Restauranteur of the Year.

In his free time, Eric enjoys time with his family, boating on Lake Winnipesaukee and playing the electric bass guitar. His son, Tyler works for GFM and his daughter Samantha works for Goodwin Recruiting. He lives in Alton Bay, NH.

Tyler Goodwin

COO Tyler joined the family business after graduating from UNH with a BA in History. Tyler has also received his MBA from the UNH Peter T Paul College of Business and Economics. He has served in a variety of capacities within the family business and currently serves as GFM’s COO and a Partner at GFM C... Tyler joined the family business after graduating from UNH with a BA in History. Tyler has also received his MBA from the UNH Peter T Paul College of Business and Economics. He has served in a variety of capacities within the family business and currently serves as GFM’s COO and a Partner at GFM Consulting. In his COO role, Tyler is responsible for the day to day operations of GFM, overall brand and financial strategy for all entities, as well as evaluating new investments opportunities. At GFM Consulting, Tyler spends his time connecting with business leaders to help them build a foundation for the next phase of their company’s growth.

Tyler lives in Portsmouth, NH with his wife, Megan and daughter, Ellie. He serves on the board of the Prescott Park Arts Festival. In his free time, Tyler enjoys family adventures and playing golf and hockey.
